You’ve seen our Creator Contests before, but now Apollo has partnered with the athletic retailer Centre for a brand-new creative contest focused on sneaker design! Beginning next month, Centre will be sponsoring a special series of three contests followed by a finals round (similar to our Season 1 All-Star Contest), each focused exclusively on up-and-coming shoe design artists.
Artists interested in competing will submit an artist profile that Centre will review, and accepted artists will be provided a pair of all-white Nike Air Force 1 sneakers to customize and show off their personal design styles. Via Apollo’s blockchain-based voting system, Apollo community members will vote on competing designs in each of the three contests, after which those three winners will receive funding for their creative projects and a shot to win it big in the finals contest, where they will receive the grand funding prize as well as a contract with Centre to showcase and sell the winning designer’s work. The winning design will also be displayed at Centre’s Dallas location.
This contest, aimed at finding and funding budding talent in the urban fashion space, will utilize the same competition-based funding layout that can be seen in the Apollo Creator Contests, which utilize blockchain technology to provide ultimate transparency in the voting process.
Coverage of each stage of the ApolloxCentre design competition, where viewers can closely follow the competition as well as learn more about each designer via interaction and personal interviews, will be hosted by Henok Crypto’s $100M Challenge on YouTube. The First contest will begin at 10 am CT on Tuesday, September 13. A full schedule displaying each competition has been included below. The Apollo community has already changed the lives and careers of several artists via our weekly Season 1 Creator Contests, and this new venture alongside Centre is set to be even bigger and better.
