The first season finale of the Apollo Creator Contest #12 crowns Brittney Palmer as the winner! A special congratulations goes out to Brittney Palmer, artist, performer, and former Octagon Girl for the UFC. Brittney started painting when she was 21 after being involved in a car accident and cooped up for several weeks. Through this experience, she rediscovered a huge passion for painting. Many of her paintings have led to collaborations with brands like Reebok, Star Wars, and Topps. By casting every emotion she feels, Brittney’s passion for art allows her to connect with people in the community.

Brittney Palmer’s Entry
Hi guys I’m Brittney Palmer! Many people know me as an Octagon Girl for the UFC, but I’m also an artist and performer! I’ve always been super creative, and art has come to me naturally. When I was 21 I was in a car accident and while cooped up, I picked back up some of my creative skillsets and started painting more. It was super therapeutic for me and reintroduced a huge passion in my life. Since then I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with brands like Reebok, Star Wars, Topps, and more, and have been able to showcase my work at institutions and galleries in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Miami, New York, Hong Kong, and Milan. I hope that people who see my work are able to connect with the emotion and authenticity I put into it.
I plan on using the funds to give back to my community! There’s an organization in my city dedicated to helping kids nurture their artistry. I’m going to use the funds to buy the supplies they need to continue helping kids discover and develop their artistic gifts.
