Season 2 brought our first paid sponsorship with the Centre urban apparel brand. Through this experience, we have been able to learn valuable lessons that will carry into future contest partnerships to make them even better.
We are currently designing a multi-tiered sponsorship package ranging from supporting one-off contests, individual season contests, or potentially an entire season of contests. We really feel that the revenue generation, the confidence built with the brand association, and the potential reach (especially with the new voting mechanisms mentioned in the “Promotion” blog) will be critical to our long-term strategy and growth.
The magic of these sponsored contests isn’t just the additional revenue, but the exposure Apollo receives from a new community discovering the project. Each new partnership brings fresh eyes to our community, and that’s always a good thing.
We are currently in talks with several other potential sponsor partners, and we look forward to season 3 and beyond being more brand/sponsor-centric across all contests!
